What is a Health Coach?
"Health & wellness coaches support clients in activating internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle behavior changes. Health coaches use a client-centered approach wherein clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.
Whatever goal the client sets, the health coach ensures that they are supported until the desired outcome is achieved."

"A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome) after some abnormal blood work results and severe symptoms including weight gain, hair loss, acne, fatigue, etc. My doctor’s solution to this was to prescribe me medication and told me to “just lose weight” – as if it was that easy. I took matters into my own hands and began researching this newer condition and how to overcome the symptoms in the most natural way possible. I was doing relatively fine for about 5 months or so, but then saw a major plateau in weight loss for about 3 months. I was recommended to work with Donna through a mutual connection and took a leap of faith to learn from her.
Our first meeting was an in-depth conversation about my health journey so far, what I am needing help with, and setting goals for the next few months as we work together. Her approach is centered around facts and encouragement, which is something I had never experienced before when speaking to someone about weight loss or my hormonal condition. What does a Health Coaching Program look like?

Q - Do you offer a free consultation?
A - Yes! The initial discovery session is free and is intended for us to get to know if we are a good fit to work together. The session is a video call and lasts approximately 20 minutes. If we both decide we are a good fit, we'll review the available programs and the cost associated with each option.
Q - How often will we meet?
A - In a standard program, we will meet every other week (12 sessions over 6 months). We will cover any other applicable program options during your Initial Discovery Session.
Q - How will we meet?
A - We will meet over video call using an app that is free for you.
Q - Is there a set plan you have for me?
A - No. Each program is customized to meet your unique needs. Your goals are set by you. I am here to support, encourage, and empower you, providing resources and accountability along the way.

Donna is the founder and owner of Renourish Yourself Health and Wellness Coaching. She studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (HCTP 2018/2019, CMP 2020 and CIP 2022) and is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) as of August 2023.
Her passion for health and wellness began over 15 years ago when she first experienced how much diet and lifestyle can have a direct impact on health. With these changes, she no longer needs to take medication for asthma, allergies, lyme disease, lupus (an autoimmune condition), or hypothyroidism. In addition, her kids went from being sick ALL the time to only needing to go to the pediatrician for well visits. If you knew her back then, you would know what a big deal this is!
Prior to creating Renourish Yourself Health and Wellness Coaching, she spent over 20 years as an Industrial Engineer focused on improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness through process improvement, strategic planning and tracking, metrics and reporting, and risk management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. The common theme across all of her roles has to do with problem solving. Whether it is in business or health, you must identify and address the root cause of a problem in order to see sustainable results.
